CAFE RACER BLACK THERMAL TAPE 25 MM x 15 M

High temperature heat tape for manifolds and exhaust, does not require wetting to fit. The material is constructed from fibers extruded from very tough lava rock. It protects up to over 550 degrees C, helping to reduce heat transfer from exhaust systems. Comes with stainless steel ties for mounting. 25mm wide, 15 meter roll.

This keeps the exhaust gases hot, lowers the gas density which allows the exhaust gas to flow faster, ultimately giving you more power.

1 - Wear safety glasses, gloves, a dust mask and long-sleeved clothing.

2 - The wrap does not require wetting, but you can soak a roll of untangled wrap in water. Soaking makes the casing more flexible and reduces fiber damage.

3 - It is important to start on the side closest to the engine towards the exhaust.

4- Make an initial wrap around the pipe and secure with a stainless steel cable tie (provided), or hose clamp.

5 - Then, continue to wrap around the pipe maintaining the tension on the thermal tape.

6 - Every 2 to 3 turns use your hands to tighten the band.

7 - If your header pipes are so close together that you cannot wrap them individually, wrap them together.

8 - Secure the end with stainless steel cable ties (provided), or hose clamps.Important: Your exhaust band will smoke after installation, and eventually stop. This is a normal effect and the hardening of the tape.

Your exhaust wrap will not ignite. It is not advisable to wash your exhaust band after installation, but you can treat it with silicone to prevent unwanted debris.
